Tamogoyaki

Notes — Tamogoyaki is a japanese rolled omelette. Good in bento boxes or served on top of sticky rice. (unknown kcal/recipe)

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tsp oil

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except oil in a bowl until eggs are fully scrambled.
  2. Heat a pan on medium-high and add a thin layer of oil with a paper towel.
  3. Pour a thin layer of egg into pan and coat the whole bottom of the pan.
  4. Fold the eggs on into a roll carefully once they are mostly cooked but still a little soft on the top.
  5. Once rolled, oil the pan again then pour in more egg mix.
  6. Cook and repeat the rolling process.
  7. Remove from pan and let sit for 3-4 minutes, slice 1/2 in thick.
