Ingredients
- Bones and meat scrap from one whole roasted chicken, usually as a left-over from making the last batch of chicken noodle soup.
- 1 tbsp rosemary
- 1tbsp thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- salt to taste
- Toss all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil then lower to a simmer until the smaller bones fall apart when you press them between fingers. This takes 2–4 hours on stove top or half the time in an instant pot.
- Strain broth and discard leftover chicken pieces. Feed them to your chickens if you have them, they’ll love it.
