Chicken Broth

Ingredients

  • Bones and meat scrap from one whole roasted chicken, usually as a left-over from making the last batch of chicken noodle soup.
  • 1 tbsp rosemary
  • 1tbsp thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt to taste
  1. Toss all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil then lower to a simmer until the smaller bones fall apart when you press them between fingers. This takes 2–4 hours on stove top or half the time in an instant pot.
  2. Strain broth and discard leftover chicken pieces. Feed them to your chickens if you have them, they’ll love it.
