Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1 scant tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 5 tbsp cold butter
- 1 cup whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425˚F.
- Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a bowl.
- Cut butter into into small 1/4 inch pats then cut those into the flour using a fork or a pastry cutter. Fold it all together until it makes a rough textured mix.
- Add the milk and stir until the dough forms a solid ball.
- Roll onto floured surface then let sit for 30 min to rise and rest.
- Pat down the dough to be about an inch thick.
- Cut square or round biscuits but don’t twist the cutters, since it will make the biscuits less likely to rise.
- Place on oiled baking sheet and bake for 10-15 min or until golden brown.
