Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup applesauce
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients. If it is too soft, cover and refrigerate. Heat oven to 375˚F. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons – place 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and cool.
- Mix brown sugar and butter together to make a glaze. After cookies are cooled, add glaze over cookies.
